Edwin C. Hatch

Edwin C. "Ned" Hatch, 88 0f Bellwood, died Sunday evening,12/10/2023 at  his residence, surrounded by family when he passed away peacefully in his sleep.  He was born in Altoona 08/06/1935, a son of the late Edwin and Nellie (McElwee) Hatch.  Surviving are his wife, Suzanne E. (Boland) Hatch of 69 years of marriage, daughter, Eileen Williams (Gary); sons:  Randy (Judy) Hatch, Dave (Sherry) Hatch; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  Ned was preceded in death y his son, John M. Hatch on 11/20/2006; brothers:  Don, Harry and Nick; step brother, Allen; sisters:  Rose and Betty; and a step sister, Susan.  Ned served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Small Tubes in 1996, where he worked for 38 years, as a a overhead crane operator for the first 8 years and the ran the furnace afterwards.  Ned enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and drinking his homemade wine around fires.  he loved his Chihuahua, Snoopy.  At the request of the deceased, private funeral services will be held at the convenance.  Memorial contributions can be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
